Hi, I'm Tania

I live in Santiago, Chile, and work as an editor in the newspaper La Tercera leading the area of Interactive Narratives and Premium Digital Formats. I have a BSc in Hispanic Literature and Linguistics and a Master Degree in Written Journalism from the Universidad Católica.

I developed a good part of my journalistic work in the Tendencias supplement from La Tercera. I also worked for a short time in the newspaper Publimetro, and as a contributor reporter in the newspaper La Hora and Paula Magazine.

I've covered mostly science, health, environment, and education topics, besides being especially interested in stories about childhood, mental health, diversity, and human rights.

Since 2019 I'm part of the Audiences team of La Tercera, dedicated to the development of interactive and multimedia editorial products. Most of these special projects are focused on our digital subscription.

My first big work in the digital area was a feature about trans people in Chile named Transition, that won a bronze medal in the Society for News Design (SND) Awards and you can see here. Another project we're very proud of is the interactive The social videos of the Chilean outburst, which received the King of Spain International Journalism Award (Premio Internacional de Periodismo Rey de España) in the digital category, and you can find in this link.
